WTT’s agenda in Brasilia

WTT was in Brasilia between August 29 and September 1 for an agenda that ranged from discussions with National Development System organizations to essential conversations with social movements and civil society agents.

At the ABDE Development Forum, held on August 30th and 31st, WTT took part in debates on how to accelerate compliance with the 2030 Agenda, as well as discussions focused on practical issues for achieving strategic mission agendas – an essential theme for the organization from the perspective of the Center for Orchestrating Innovations.

The Meeting of the Amazon Nut Observatory (OCA) brought together the civil society organizations that make up the network from August 31 to September 6 to assess the organization’s progress and plan strategies for the future. More than 200 extractivists and organizations from the Amazon came together in Brasilia for Socio-Biodiversity Week, of which the OCA meeting was a part. WTT will contribute to a science-based innovation agenda, with a look at the socio-technical demands of the Brazil nut chain, especially those of grassroots organizations.

We thank you for the exchanges and meetings provided during this intense positive agenda! 🤝🌴
